But it can seem that way, especially when working in a newly configured or re-shuffled team, combined with WFH or hybrid working. Or even for a team back at the office, not having seen their colleagues face to face for two years. Undoubtedly there’ll be new faces too.

“Only connect,” wrote E.M. Forster. Without connection – meaningful connection – human beings suffer. We all know that. Getting together as a team and being guided through a series of solo, paired and group writing exercises, and sharing the outcomes can have a profoundly bonding effect.

UP offers the opportunity to schedule a team-building workshop for your group with an experienced writing facilitator.

The retreats are led by Stuart Delves (co-founder of Dark Angels 2004 and Invisible Grail 2017), who joined UP THERE, EVERYWHERE in 2019 as Senior Writer and Retreat Leader.

Building on his previous on site and online training experience he has honed a 12-hour online retreat (variously segmented to accommodate time zones) that delivers exercises that explore personal and collective values along with a bundle of tips and briefs on how to humanize business language and make authentic connections with target audiences.

Each retreat is bespoke and follows a Discover, Design and Deliver methodology.

Minimum 6 participants, maximum 16. Price dependent on scope and requirements.

Stuart Delves (co-founder of Dark Angels 2004 and Invisible Grail 2017) joined UP THERE, EVERYWHERE in 2019 as Senior Writer and Retreat Leader. Building on his previous on site and online training experience he has honed a 12-hour online retreat (variously segmented to accommodate time zones) that delivers exercises that explore personal and collective values along with a bundle of tips and briefs on how to humanise business language and make authentic connections with target audiences. The most recent retreat was run for Shell Corporate Communications in July 2022. Sian Laurie, Head of Corporate Communications, could not believe what was achieved with her team over three four hour sessions. “Huge thanks for such a wonderful experience. I won’t ever forget it.”
