Solveig's Tradition: A Family Calendar of Memories

A Calendar Full of Family Memories
Solveig’s holiday tradition is a heartfelt one: creating a calendar filled with 24 family photos for the grandparents every year. What began when her children were small has become a cherished ritual, especially as her family lived far from their parents. Each December, she selects pictures that capture the journey of the past year - from first days of school and broken arms to holidays, horse riding, skiing, and even graduation moments.
It’s a way of sharing life’s milestones in a form that feels personal, tangible, and full of love.
A Non-Digital Gift That Lasts All Year
The grandparents treasure the calendars so much that Solveig often finds the photos pinned beside their beds when she visits. They love having something “non-digital” to show their friends - a physical reminder of the grandchildren growing, learning, and becoming themselves. For Solveig’s family, the calendar has become more than a gift; it’s a tradition that holds years of memories together.
