Shari’s Tradition: Trees, Ballet, and New England Cheer

Christmas at the Tree Farm
For Shari and her family, the holidays often began among snowy rows of evergreens at a local New England tree farm. Cutting their own Christmas tree became a seasonal ritual — wandering through the fields, sipping hot cider or hot chocolate, and never missing the fresh apple cider donuts that are a tradition in their own right. These trips were a simple, joyful way to mark the season and make memories together.
Nutcracker Nights in Boston
Another tradition Shari treasures is her yearly outing to the Boston Ballet’s Nutcracker with her daughter - something they’ve done since she was five. Now 23, the tradition lives on. The dancers, the music, and the festive atmosphere have become their shared way of welcoming the holidays, a quiet thread running through the years and connecting one season to the next.
