### Head in the Clouds: Beyond Employment in the Creative Services Industry

In this “Speaker’s Box” offering from the Journal of Advertising Research, UP co-founder Julian Stubbs argues that [cloud-based agencies ](https://www.upthereeverywhere.com/about-up/?hsLang=en)will become more common and that the operational tools—untraditional as they might be—offer many opportunities for marketers and research.

Julian  is the author of [*Wish You Were Here*](https://page.upthereeverywhere.com/destinations-marketing-book-chapter?hsLang=en) (2012) which explores the branding of places and destinations, and [*E-Ployment : The Third Way to Live and Work in the Cloud*](https://page.upthereeverywhere.com/e-ployment-book-sample?hsLang=en) (2014).

### A new way of working

Read this article to learn more about the idea of e-ployment (as an alternative to employment or even self-employment) and how the promise of cloud-based agencies will change the way we work in advertising and marketing.
